Summer style for men: looking good when the heat is on! part 2: seersucker
The Style Coach is back with more of the fabrics you should be in during the summer. Time for seersucker!
WHAT: A cotton or blended fabric woven in a way that bunches together some of the threads, giving it a wrinkled or puckered appearance.
WHY: The unevenness of the fabric causes it to be mostly held away from the skin, keeping you cooler in hot weather.
HOW TO WEAR IT AND PAIR IT: Suits and blazers of course but also, pants, shorts and casual shirts.Solid shirt and seersucker shorts serves you well at the cocktail party!
OFF THE BENCH AND INTO THE GAME: While it has a long history of suiting for warm climates, today's seersucker is crafted into almost any kind of men's clothing. Typically alternating blue and white, tan, pink and grey alternating stripes are great options.
PRO-TIP: Check out some of the new solid color shirts that will keep you cool and interesting at the same time.
